Project Coordinator/Superintendent – Commercial Roofing

About the Role:
A leading commercial roofing contractor serving the Los Angeles market is seeking a Hybrid Project Coordinator / Roofing Superintendent to support field operations and ensure project success. This is a blended role ideal for someone with hands-on roofing experience who also has the organizational and communication skills to manage schedules, subs, and materials both in the field and from the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day field operations for commercial roofing projects across the Los Angeles metro area.
- Act as a liaison between the field crew, project managers, subcontractors, and clients.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment rentals, and labor scheduling.
- Monitor safety compliance and conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality and adherence to scope.
- Track job progress and update internal systems with photos, notes, and scheduling changes.
- Assist with job start-up and close-out documentation.
- Help prepare submittals, RFIs, and change orders in coordination with the office team.
- Provide leadership and direction to field crews and ensure that deadlines and budget expectations are met.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in commercial roofing (preferred: single-ply, TPO, or built-up systems).
- Prior field supervision or project coordination experience required.
- Strong understanding of construction schedules, scopes, and project flow.
- Ability to read blueprints and roofing specifications.
- Tech-savvy with experience using construction management software
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
