Senior Consultant – Energy Storage

Position Summary
A leading international consultancy is seeking an experienced professional to take a key role in the field of energy storage. As the Senior Consultant for Energy Storage, you will be the primary point of contact for projects in this domain, collaborating with both local and international renewable energy teams. You will lead technical consultancy assignments related to battery energy storage systems (BESS) and help shape the company’s position in the growing storage market across the Netherlands and wider Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver consultancy and engineering services for energy storage initiatives, including technical due diligence, safety assessments, owner’s engineering, and training activities.
- Independently drive business development efforts in target regions such as the Netherlands, Germany, and Poland, preparing proposals and maintaining client relationships.
- Oversee the successful execution of projects of varying size and complexity, coordinating with colleagues across international offices.
- Represent the company in client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
- Monitor market trends, identify strategic opportunities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, sustainable energy systems, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the energy sector, ideally within the regional markets of the Netherlands
- At least 3 years of focused experience with grid-scale energy storage technologies and associated regulatory environments.
- Demonstrated ability in project management and a thorough understanding of storage integration in power networks.
- Excellent communication skills in English and at least one local language.
- Willingness to travel both within the country and internationally as required.
