A leading chemical manufacturer is seeking a Senior Process/Project Engineer for a contract role based onsite in Plaquemine, LA. This is an immediate opportunity to contribute to impactful capital projects in a fast-paced, process-driven plant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support mid to large-scale capital projects
- Develop process design packages including PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing, and control strategies
- Perform stress analysis and pipe sizing calculations
- Troubleshoot plant process issues in collaboration with operations and maintenance teams
- Participate in PHAs/HAZOPs and ensure safety/environmental compliance
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate project execution as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- 7–15 years of experience in chemical plant engineering and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of process design, codes, and industrial equipment
- Experience in RMP/PSM-regulated environments preferred
- Must be available to work onsite with an ASAP start
