Offshore Structural FEA Engineer
London
12-Month Contract
Responsibilities
- Conduct structural analysis using Finite Element software (ABAQUS/ANSYS).
- Perform detailed stress analysis of offshore structures.
- Utilise structural analysis tools (SACS, STAAD, GT-STRUDL).
- Execute design calculations per industry codes (DNV GL, API, AISC, EC, Norsok).
- Review and approve structural drawings.
- Prepare high-quality design reports and maintain records.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work within a team.
- Experience in offshore structure design (oil & gas/wind).
- Knowledge of offshore wind foundation design practices.
- Familiarity with offshore wind regulations, codes, and standards.
- Understanding of fatigue assessment methods (time domain, spectral, deterministic).
- Experience with advanced structural problem-solving techniques.
- Programming skills (Python, C++) are a plus.
