Job Purpose
The Demand Planning Executive is responsible for supporting accurate sales forecasting, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring optimal product availability across regions. This role plays a key part in balancing supply and demand by reviewing performance, updating reports, coordinating with sales and distributors, and driving corrective actions through structured reviews.
Key Responsibilities Daily Tasks
- Review sell-in performance against forecast and highlight deviations
- Review sell-out performance against forecast for accuracy and market alignment
- Update and circulate daily sales reports to stakeholders
Weekly Tasks
- Monitor stock levels across regions to ensure product availability (Sunday)
- Inform sales team of near-expiry stock to trigger timely actions (Sunday)
- Inform distributors of out-of-stock (OOS) or overstock situations (Sunday)
- Communicate near-expiry details to distributors (Sunday)
- Compare forecast vs. actual sales performance (Monday)
- Propose stock rebalancing/transfer across regions (Monday)
- Track order fulfillment status and highlight gaps (Tuesday)
- Compare forecast versions (IMS, Budget, Sell-Out) (Tuesday)
- Update and maintain the master data file for planning (Tuesday)
Monthly Tasks
- Participate in Demand Review Meetings (DRM):
- Review sales forecast accuracy (before 10th)
- Analyze and explain deviations (before 10th)
- Propose corrective actions (before 10th)
- Review forecast assumptions and update sales forecast figures (before 10th)
- Review stock levels and update shipment forecast (before 10th)
- Issue official communication of updated forecast (before 10th)
- Share shipment forecast with stakeholders (12th)
- Review orders against sell-out performance (12th)
- Measure and report OTIF (On-Time In-Full) (5th)
- Update regional shares (North, South, Mosul) (5th)
- Future Additions
- Actively participate in S&OP meetings (Activity, Demand, Supply, and Executive reviews)
- Attend NPD (New Product Development) meetings to follow up on upcoming launches and integrate demand inputs

- Expiry Management (volume/value of expired stock)

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–4 years’ experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent)
- Good communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving mindset
