Position: Senior Mechanical Project Manager

💰 Compensation: $120,000 – $160,000 base salary (commensurate with experience) + comprehensive benefits package

A leading mechanical contracting firm with a long-standing reputation for excellence across the Carolinas is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join its Raleigh-area team. Role Overview The Senior Mechanical Project Manager will take ownership of large-scale mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role requires a combination of leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen to manage multiple high-value projects while mentoring project teams and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of mechanical construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
- Serve as the primary client interface, ensuring clear communication and successful project delivery.
- Oversee BIM coordination and collaborate with design teams to resolve technical and field challenges.
- Ensure projects meet company standards for safety, quality, and profitability.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to Project Managers, Assistant PMs, and field teams.
- Support preconstruction and business development efforts by providing technical input and cost insights.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience managing commercial mechanical (HVAC and plumbing) projects.
- Proven success delivering $10M–$30M+ mechanical scopes in commercial or institutional settings.
- Deep understanding of project engineering, cost control, submittals, RFIs, and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in construction management platforms such as Procore, BlueBeam, or Smartsheet.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
