Field Superintendent (Mechanical Construction) – Charlotte, NC
A leading mechanical contractor with a strong presence across the Southeast is seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to join its Charlotte, NC team. This role offers the opportunity to lead mechanical construction projects from the field, ensuring top-quality execution, safety, and client satisfaction.
Position: Field Superintendent (Mechanical Construction) Location: Charlotte, NC
Compensation: $120K–$150K (depending on experience)
Travel: Local to regional as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee field activities for commercial and industrial mechanical projects.
- Supervise crews of pipefitters, sheet metal workers, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Maintain a strong safety culture and enforce compliance with company and OSHA standards.
- Manage manpower planning, equipment, and material logistics.
- Conduct site meetings and ensure effective communication between field and office teams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction, with at least 2 years in a field leadership or superintendent role.
- Proven background managing field operations for HVAC, plumbing, or piping projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, construction sequencing, and jobsite coordination.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
