Senior Project Manager – Electrical (Underground Utilities) Location: Charleston, SC

Position Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with strong electrical experience in underground utility construction. This role will lead complex projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability. The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to client and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of underground electrical utility projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
- Manage field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, and municipalities to ensure compliance and resolve issues.
- Review and approve project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
- Monitor project performance metrics and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Mentor junior project managers and field staff.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in electrical construction, with a focus on underground utilities.
- Proven track record managing multi-million dollar projects.
- Strong understanding of NEC, local codes, and utility coordination.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
