Chief Estimator – Cocoa, FL
Salary: $100,000 – $170,000 + Bonus
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Chief Estimator to lead estimating efforts for a growing mechanical contracting organization in Cocoa, FL. This is a confidential search for a high-impact professional with a proven track record in mechanical construction estimating, project budgeting, and proposal management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full estimating process for commercial and industrial mechanical projects.
- Prepare accurate and competitive bids for HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects.
- Collaborate with project management, operations, and business development teams.
- Review plans, specifications, and subcontractor/vendor quotes to develop precise cost estimates.
- Mentor and support junior estimators and promote best practices in estimating processes.
- Ensure estimates align with organizational financial goals and project profitability targets.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of mechanical estimating experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.
- Proven ability to produce detailed, accurate, and competitive estimates.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation:
- Base salary: $100,000 – $170,000, commensurate with experience.
- Performance-based bonus opportunities.
