Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000

Position Summary:
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, developing competitive proposals, managing subcontractor relationships, and supporting preconstruction efforts across a range of commercial building projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on estimating, clear communication, and being part of a collaborative, tight-knit team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review project plans, specifications, and documents to develop detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates
• Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP/bid estimates
• Solicit, evaluate, and scope subcontractor and supplier proposals
• Build cost models and pricing breakdowns for proposals
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and value engineering discussions
• Experience with Hard-Bids
• Maintain historical cost data, subcontractor lists, and bid tracking documentation
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction (GC experience strongly preferred)
• Proficiency with estimating/takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, ProEst, Sage, etc.)
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, building assemblies, and subcontractor scopes
• Ability to read plans, perform accurate quantity take-offs, and develop complete cost proposals
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple bid deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients and subcontractors
