Position Summary The Mechanical Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex mechanical construction projects. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical systems, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of mechanical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Review and approve mechanical design documents, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior leadership and clients.
- Mentor and support project engineers and junior staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical construction project management, preferably in commercial or industrial sectors.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
