Role Overview:
The Document Controller will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all project-related documentation to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with company and client standards. This position plays a key role in supporting project teams by maintaining effective document control systems throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and control all incoming and outgoing documents (both hard and soft copies) to ensure proper filing, version control, and distribution.
- Maintain up-to-date logs and registers for all project documentation.
- Ensure all documents comply with established standards and templates before submission.
- Support project teams in the preparation, revision, and submission of technical documentation (drawings, BOQs, material submittals, invoices, specifications, etc.).
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal departments to ensure timely document flow.
- Upload, track, and manage documents using project management systems.
- Generate reports and documentation status summaries for management review.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of project data.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Bilingual (Arabic and English) – strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong IT skills and proficiency in document control systems and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with project documentation standards and workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Document Controller within real estate or construction projects.
- Previous experience with large-scale development or construction projects.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 document control procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
