Electrical HVAC Supervisor – Uganda
We are seeking an experienced Electrical / HVAC Supervisor to oversee the electrical and HVAC maintenance operations for a large onshore production facility in Uganda. The role provides technical leadership for a multicultural maintenance team, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all electrical and HVAC systems across the site, including the Central Processing Facility (CPF), well pads, and associated installations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining electrical grid stability, optimizing equipment performance, and supporting commissioning and start-up activities during project execution and transition to operations.

- USD day rate, paid per day worked.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all electrical and HVAC maintenance activities across multiple facilities.
- Manage and develop a site-based team of electrical and HVAC technicians, ensuring competency and safety standards are met.
- Oversee maintenance of HV/LV power systems, generators, VSDs, transformers, UPS, motors, and HVAC units.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, including LOTO (Lockout–Tagout) and hazardous area standards (IECEx/ATEX).
- Coordinate planned and corrective maintenance in collaboration with operations and engineering teams.
- Provide technical support during commissioning, start-up, and production operations.
- Monitor and analyse equipment performance, recommending technical improvements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance documentation and reports.
- Promote a strong HSE culture and ensure adherence to site safety programs and procedures.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and incident investigations as required.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry, ideally in a similar supervisory role.
- Strong background in HV/LV electrical systems, switchgear, and HVAC maintenance.
- Previous experience supervising multidisciplinary maintenance teams in complex industrial environments.
- Familiar with power grid management systems, electrical control systems (ECS), and CMMS tools (SAP, UNISOL, or similar).
- Valid Authorized Person / HV certification.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Proactive, safety-driven, and solutions-oriented professional with a strong technical foundation.
