Role Summary
Lead the maintenance function to ensure the safe operations, high availability, rapid responses and repairs, and superior customer satisfaction. Ensure the effective handover from Quality team after issues are closed. Develop a top-performer and talent team, remove blockers, and maintain strong stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare maintenance department quarterly plans to achieve the quarterly objectives of the department in accordance with the plans set by the planning manager and the company quarterly objectives
- Oversee the clean handover from quality team after issues have been closed
- Ensure the delivery of maintenance works in alignment with the master plan; request changes on plans when required
- Set the preventive plans to ensure the continuous functioning of elevators and escalators and reduce downtime; oversee the implementation of the plans
- Oversee the corrective maintenance to ensure the rapid response of maintenance team and increase customer satisfaction
- Allocate required resources to execute maintenance works effectively and efficiently; ensure capacity planning in coordination with Operation and People & Culture departments
- Lead and develop a talented, top-performers EI Supervisors and team members; hire, onboard, coach, and manage their performance
- Monitor maintenance progress and provide prevention/recovery actions to ensure maintenance within deadlines and quality standards
- Manage Maintenance budgets and labor pays; check and approve maintenance purchase requests delivered by supervisors, approve invoices and send it to Finance
- Set processes and policies related to maintenance works and ensure the team understand and follow it
- Facilitate regular meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions with the team and stakeholders
- Prepare and present reports to management, highlighting key metrics, milestones, and issues
- Ensure Maintenance Supervisors notify Sales Maintenance at each contractual milestone for updating the progress reports and invoicing
- Approve decisions related to spare parts replacement and manage warehouse withdrawals, whether free of charge or billable
- Maintain continuous coordination with the Maintenance Sales team regarding contract renewals, invoice pricing, and agreements
- Coordinate regularly with Technical Manager to develop the department’s staff both technically and procedurally
- Manage transfers in coordination with Spare Parts Officer and Planning Department
- Follow up on maintenance quality reports, ensure their implementation, and verify the effectiveness of issue resolution
Qualifications (Minimum)
- Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent); Master Degree is a plus
- Experience: 7 years of relevant experience preferrable in elevators/escalators or construction businesses, with the last 2 years in a supervisory/managerial position
- Project Management: Multi-site maintenance portfolios
- Software: MS Project, Excel & Word
- Language: Able to read, write, and speak in English, and read and understand technical documents. Proficiency in Arabic language is a must

Working Conditions
Office-based, normal working hours; occasional traveling and site visits may be required; Frequent work outside normal hours may be required.
