Position: FPSO Senior Contract Engineer
Location: Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France
Start Date: 5 May 2025
Contract Type: Residential | Duration: 12 Months (Renewable)

A major upstream oil & gas development project is seeking a Senior Contract Engineer to join its FPSO team. The successful candidate will be embedded within a multidisciplinary project group overseeing the execution of a fast-track deepwater development. The scope includes subsea production systems tied back to a spread-moored FPSO, with oil processing, water injection, gas reinjection, and tandem offloading capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Contract Leader in managing major Engineering, Procurement, Supply, Construction & Commissioning (EPSCC) and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contracts.
  • Oversee all contractual aspects including correspondence, variation orders, claims, and contractual interfaces across project packages.
  • Liaise with project controls, technical entities, and contract leads to ensure contractual awareness and compliance across disciplines.
  • Provide strategic input and advice on contractual matters including breach identification, mitigation, and resolution.
  • Maintain contractual registers and documentation to ensure up-to-date project records.
  • Attend and contribute to internal and external progress and coordination meetings.
  • Ensure adherence to HSE requirements within the contract administration scope.

Required Profile:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in a similar role, preferably on large-scale FPSO EPSCC and/or O&M contracts.
  • Proven expertise in complex contractual environments with multi-payment mechanisms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in contract administration during the execution phase, including claim management and insurance processes.
  • Able to interface effectively with multidisciplinary teams and senior management.
  • Fluent in English; excellent communication and documentation skills.
