Position Overview The Mechanical Project Manager will oversee all phases of mechanical construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout. Youโll be responsible for scheduling, budgeting, field coordination, and client communication โ ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
The ideal candidate has a proven background in mechanical systems, HVAC installations, plumbing systems, and project execution, with the ability to lead teams and deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical construction projects
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
- Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
- Lead project meetings and deliver regular progress and financial reports
- Oversee procurement, submittals, change orders, and RFIs
- Monitor field productivity, quality, and safety performance
- Support estimating, preconstruction planning, and project buyout
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical contracting or HVAC/plumbing project management
- Proven track record managing commercial or industrial projects from start to finish
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction drawings, and specifications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelorโs degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred
