Position Summary The Senior Project Manager (Mechanical) is responsible for overseeing all phases of mechanical construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Financial Management
- Monitor project costs, prepare forecasts, and ensure profitability.
- Approve invoices and manage change orders.
- Team Leadership
- Lead project teams, mentor junior staff, and foster a collaborative environment.
- Conduct regular progress meetings with stakeholders.
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to mechanical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Oversee inspections and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Client Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Provide regular updates and maintain strong client relationships. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical construction, with at least 5 years in project management.
- Proven track record managing large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification.
- Experience with design-build and fast-track projects.
- Familiarity with LEED and sustainable building practices.
