Back to Blogs

Welcome to the June edition of our company newsletter! This month we have exciting updates to share, as well as an important celebration of diversity and inclusion. Let's dive right in!

Celebrating Pride and Championing the LGBTQ+ Community

At WRS, we take immense pride in our work and our people throughout the year. In June, we join countless others worldwide in celebrating Pride Month and standing alongside the LGBTQ+ community. We firmly believe that everyone should bring their authentic selves to work, knowing they will be welcomed and supported by their colleagues.

We recognise that while each of us is unique in our own ways, our shared values, goals, and visions unite us as a team. This month, let's come together to honour diversity, promote inclusivity, and champion equality within our workplace and beyond.

We have some noteworthy updates to share regarding our recent activities and achievements...

Stateside News

WRS CEO Mark Brown Takes a Trip to Tampa

Our esteemed Chief Executive Officer, Mark Brown, recently traveled to our Florida base to personally connect with new team members and experience stateside life. Mark immersed himself in the local culture, exploring Downtown Tampa, enjoying an amateur softball game featuring Co-founder Francis Dunleavy and Julio Medina, sharing a meal with the team at Hula Bay, and even hosting a pool party to celebrate the team's hard work. It was a fantastic opportunity for camaraderie and appreciation.

June 5th and June 8th -Celebrating World Environment Day and Ocean Day

As a company committed to environmental responsibility, we were thrilled to observe both World Environment Day and Ocean Day this month. This month, we have the pleasure of celebrating some notable work anniversaries. Mathew Spells, our Marine Divisional Manager, marked an incredible decade with WRS in May. We extend our heartfelt thanks for his dedication and commitment. Additionally, we congratulate Iain Porter, Business Development Manager for East Africa, on completing his first year with us.
