The report, which tracks and analyses commercial solar adoption, named Meta, Amazon, Apple, Walmart, and Microsoft as the top five corporate solar users in America. Solutions, such as solar are emerging as cost-effective and efficient ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Such a simple change can lead to an extraordinary 80% lower greenhouse gas emissions than fossil fuels.
Hydrogen Fuel Cells
Hydrogen, a relatively new entrant in the renewable energy landscape, is gaining traction. In 2022, Siemens Energy, installed on an off-grid construction site in Lincolnshire, England, a hydrogen fuel cell system that serves the Viking Link Interconnector project. The Viking Link Interconnector project is a subsea link between Denmark and the U.K. The technology Siemens Energy installed on the site provided enough heat and power for the construction village during the project, removing the need for diesel generators.
With more and more companies installing hydrogen fuel cells on their construction sites, this indicates a promising future for this technology in the construction sector.
