Cyber Security Specialist - Aberdeen INSIDE IR35 PAYE

On behalf of an independent operator, WRS are looking for a Cyber Security Specialist to work in Aberdeen on a contract basis. This will be a 12 month renewable contract, working Monday-Friday in Aberdeen, paying a day rate INSIDE IR35 PAYE.

This is not an IT Cyber security role. The client is looking for candidates with substantial engineering and operations experience in oil and gas. Candidates should also have experience with operational technologies as PLCs, SCADA, DCS and Safety Systems (SIS, F&G, ESD, PSS/PSD

Job Duties:

• Cyber Security Specialist role drives equipment and system availability through proactive mitigation of equipment and system degradation, active support to front line operations and development of tactics and plans for medium to long term.
• Perform the IACS Cyber Security Specialist role to safeguard, support and assure the Asset Integrity and Process Safety of E&P Assets within the client Portfolio and comply with industry standard IEC 62443 and HSE guideline OG86.
• Provide service to and collaborates closely with lead engineers, maintenance engineers, operations managers and project managers in the scoping and execution of Cyber Security activities.
• Review and endorse IACS Cyber Security management of change where necessary.
• Support the development and endorse IACS Cyber Security training for the company.

Candidate requirements:

• Candidates must have the right to work in the UK
• Engineering degree.
• Recognised Cyber Security qualification.
• Substantial engineering and operations experience in oil and gas.
• Previous experience working for an Oil & Gas operator
• Very high level of technical and engineering competence.
• Experience in HMI’s SCADA, IACS, F&G, PLCs and Emergency shutdown systems (ESD, PSS/PSD)
• Experience with IACS Cyber Security application to the oil and gas industry.
