Gardening Supervisor

Location:               Erbil, Iraq
Type of contract: Permanent


Roles and Responsibilities:
 
  1. Ensuring that all gardening works related to garden landscaping are carried out at the highest quality (sowing grass, seeds, cutting weeds and grass, planting trees, flowers, etc.)
  2. Assisting the facility manager in preparation of garden landscaping projects & budgets controlling
  3. Making work schedules and instructing staff regarding projects and daily routine work,
  4. Determining needs and placing orders for the machinery, equipment and materials needed based on the budget and sending them for approval.
  5. Providing information to the purchasing team on technical issues related to horticulture,
  6. Checking the purchased materials and confirming their suitability,
  7. Controlling the daily landscaping works and ensuring that the works are of the desired quality.
  8. Preparing a plan for the fight against pests and organizing pesticide applications at planned times,
  9. Working in coordination with the Pest Controller to take the necessary measures in the fight against pests,
  10. Ensuring that machinery, equipment, tools and equipment are kept clean and maintained on time,
  11. Requesting malfunctions to the Maintenance and Repair Team to repair malfunctions in machinery, equipment, tools and equipment as soon as possible, and confirming the suitability of the repair.
  12. Providing technical information on gardening issues (such as choosing trees, flowers and plants according to the season)
  13. Making recommendations to management regarding the costs of plant and garden requirements,
  14. Provide a safe environment for staff and customers by adhering to safety and health regulations.
  15. Identifying diseases, pest infestations and other problems with horticultural crops and ensuring treatments are up to standards.
  16. Controlling pesticide activities for the healthy growth of trees, flowers and plants,

  18. Following technical developments regarding gardening and informing the Facility Manager about the issue along with the budget, 
  19. Participating in the coordination meetings organized by the Facility Manager every week when necessary, providing information about gardening activities, stating needs, and giving suggestions to increase efficiency,
  20. Filing and labelling all records related to gardening in a way that is easy to access and keeping them in the archive for the periods specified in the procedures.                                                       

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Landscape and Agriculture or relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 Years of relevant working experience.
  • Proficiency in Kurdish, Arabic, and English languages.
  • Garden landscaping of golf and villa projects.
  • Garden landscaping projects’ cost and budget.               
  • Information and knowledge of technical issues related to gardening and landscaping.
  • Use of garden landscaping machinery, equipment, tools, and equipment.
  • Management of the fight against pests.
  • The Maintenance and Repair Management Business Program (such as opening a malfunction request, closing a work order, etc.).           
  • Process Control SCADA Central fault recording system.
