Instrument Technician

Job description

WRS are lookig for an Instrument Technician to join their client's Aberdeen North Sea team on a 12-month + contract. You will be working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. 
This will be on a 2x3 rotational basis.

Some of the main responsibilities of the role:
  • Responsibility for all aspects of instrument maintenance.
  • Ensure that instrument and control equipment is maintained in alignment with TAQA engineering guidelines, Platform operating procedures, performance standards and manufacturer’s tolerances.
  • Contribute to the improvement of safety, environmental and business performance of the installation, through active involvement in risk assessments, audits, tool box talks.
  • Attend relevant training courses to maintain or improve levels of competency in the role of a performing authority in addition to TTLC (Taqa Technician Level Competency) requirements when necessary.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of an HNC Measurement / Control or Electrical Engineering
  • VQ Level 3 in Instrument Maintenanc
  • Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training
  • Operating or Project experience, either onshore or offshore, in the role of Instrument, Electrical or Mechanical Technician.
