A forefront player in the renewable energy sector, our client pioneers the development of green energy projects, energising both communities and industries. They play a significant role in advancing the renewable energy transition throughout Europe, making a meaningful impact.
 
They are currently on the search for a Land acquisition manager to satisfy the following requirements;
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead negotiations for land agreements and rights for onshore wind and solar projects in Germany.
  • Interface with landowners to secure agreements, acting as the main contact throughout negotiations and development phases.
  • Manage a team of land agents, consultants, community liaison officers, and external solicitors to secure land agreements.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive community engagement plan aligning with Government guidelines.
  • Organise and participate in landowner meetings, public events, and project hearings, communicating technical, legal, and commercial aspects clearly.
  • Act as the Community Liaison Officer, facilitating two-way communication between community groups and the project.
  • Identify initiatives to bring benefits to communities before, during, and after project construction.
 
Skills/Qualifications
 
  • Relevant degree (e.g., Rural Surveying, Land, Town Planning, Renewable Energy) preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven track record in delivering land agreements within a rural agency, developer, or consultancy.
  • Experience liaising with landowners, local authorities, communities, and stakeholders on large-scale projects.
  • Understanding of property and leasing law, familiarity with legal agreements for land access and development rights.
  • Knowledge of planning and development processes for large-scale projects.
  • Full driving license and flexibility for short-notice travel.
