Lead Structural Engineer - Paris

On behalf of a major EPC company, WRS is looking for a Lead Structural Engineer to work in Paris on a contract basis. This will be a 12 month renewable contract, based residentially in Paris, paying an all-inclusive gross rate in Euro.

The role will be supporting the design of Subsea infrastructure projects.

Job Duties:

• Define and lead the production of engineering solutions within a project team, in accordance with Oil & Gas standards and regulations, procedures and processes, project schedules, with constant attention to quality, achieving objectives, and customer satisfaction.
• Design and calculate the permanent and temporary equipment necessary for the execution of a subsea project, in compliance with applicable standards.
• Prepare reports and calculation notes.
• Supervise and mentor a team of engineers.
• Monitor and verify the production of the drafting team.

Candidate Requirements

• Mastery of the specificities of Structural Metal Calculation.
• Experience within similar Subsea projects
• Mastery of Structural Metal Calculation techniques.
• Proficiency in applicable Oil & Gas codes (DNV, API, AISC, etc.).
• Familiarity with beam and/or finite element analysis software (SACS, ANSYS, etc.).
• Right to work in France
