Petrophysicist- KL

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator, WRS are looking for a Petrophysicist to work in Kuala Lumpur on a contract basis. The contract duration is up to 3 years, paying a monthly salary in MYR plus benefits. Please note: you MUST have the right to work in Malaysia and speak Malay.

As a Petrophysicist, you will be responsible for appraisal and development assessment of appropriate areas and fields along with operational (drilling and well intervention) planning and execution for appraisal and development wells.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to company’s appraisal and development efforts.
• Plan and manage cost-effective logging and coring programs.
• Carry out near real-time formation evaluation in support of drilling and well intervention operations.
• Plan, undertake and manage petrophysical studies for reservoir characterisation and volumetric resource assessment.

 
Qualifications:

• Degree in the relevant field with 5 - 9 years’ experience.
• Good knowledge of MWD/LWD, wireline logging tools and formation evaluation techniques.
• Good IT and data management skills.
• Familiar in evaluating vintage logs.
• Good skills in interfacing between G & G, reservoir engineering and drilling.
