Safety Lead - Mexico

On behalf of a major operator, WRS are looking for a Safety Lead to work in Mexico ona  contract, rotational basis. This will be a 28/28 rotation, on a 6 month contract with potential for further extension, paying a day rate.

The role will support a deepwater drilling & completions well progam.

Job Duties include 

• Promote the full application of D&W safety plan.
• Ensure coordination with HSE Coach for application & diffusion of HSE policy, CRs, procedures, initiatives & programs.
• Manage the diffusion, implementation, and update of Blow out Contingency plan and Bridging Documents on the rig sites.
• Maintain daily contact with HSE Coach to provide support, guidance and mentoring on the HSE subjects.
• Prepare and keep up to date the Bridging & SIMOPS Documents.
• Participate actively to HSE audits of all Contractors.
• Lead the HSE Committees on rig sites & control the quality of the Rig site induction

Ideal candidate will have

• Minimum of  10 years’ experience in charge of operations.
• Previous experience in offshore deepwater drilling & completions projects
• Experience working for an Oil & Gas operator
• Mechanical Diploma (Bachelor or University diploma or Higher Technical diploma).
• Medical certificate (less than 1 year) by an official organism (i.e. :  ISOS center).
