My client, a leading company in the renewable energy sector, is expanding its presence in the EU Renewable Energy market. I am looking for an experienced Senior Consultant in Energy Storage.

About My Client:

My client's Energy Systems Renewables division has a strong track record of providing expert advice to developers, owners, operators, and financiers of renewable energy projects, particularly in onshore and offshore wind and electricity networks. They specialise in enhancing their customers' projects, technology, and operations, providing technical advice throughout the entire energy value chain.
 
Responsibilities

• Executing comprehensive consultancy and engineering initiatives focused on grid-scale energy storage systems, encompassing various facets aligned with client requirements and your expertise, including:
• Conducting business case assessments, with a proficiency in techno-economic calculations as a valuable asset.
• Technical due diligence.
• Engaging in independent/owner's engineering activities.
• Conducting safety reviews and risk assessments, incorporating standards review and testing.
• Delivering training sessions tailored to customer needs.
• Effectively managing medium-sized and large-scale projects within our team and collaboratively with other teams.
• Taking a lead role in business development efforts, demonstrating autonomy in generating and overseeing proposals from initiation to completion.
• Expanding our external network by identifying and capitalising on project opportunities.
• Cultivating robust relationships with external clientele.
• Actively engaging with potential clients, introducing our services, and participating in customer meetings.
• Preparing and delivering presentations at customer meetings and events.
• Contributing valuable insights to the team's strategic planning and marketing decisions.

 
Qualifications
 

• Possession of a Master's degree in electrotechnical engineering, sustainable energy technology, or a closely related technical field.
• Accumulated a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, with a preference for a background in the energy sector or related energy technologies.
• Demonstrated comprehension of the ongoing energy transition, with an understanding of the role of energy storage in transmission and distribution systems. Proficient in the technical aspects of this role and diverse energy storage technologies.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in grid-scale energy storage systems, applications, and associated regulations.
• Willingness and availability for both domestic travel and international travel
