Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer
Location: In Office Elkview, WV
Contract: 12 Month Minimum

Looking for a Sr to Sr. Principal level Engineer to provide electrical, instrument, and controls engineering services, including technical support and supervision, within the electrical, instrument, and controls engineering team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Deliver electrical, instrument, and controls engineering services that meet statutory and regulatory specifications on time and within budget
  • Perform electrical, instrument, and controls engineering services including participating in relevant meetings, preparing progress reports, following required checking procedures, ensuring project scope is clear and any changes comply with project change management processes
  • Aid and advise during procurement, construction and commissioning activities
  • If required, act as the electrical, instrument, and controls engineering lead on specific projects

If leading a team:
  • Outline project requirements including promoting workshare, assigning tasks, and supervising progress
  • Proactively resolve any discrepancies through appropriate solutions and ask for assistance when required
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical, instrument, and controls engineering
  • Support junior personnel within the electrical, instrument, and controls engineering team
  • Communicate effectively with the electrical, instrument, and controls engineering team, project stakeholders, and customers

Qualifications:
  • Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work
  • A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of electrical, instrument, and controls engineering, and basic requirements of other engineering fields
  • Knowledge of applicable standards and regulatory requirements
  • Competent use of electrical, instrument, and controls engineering specific software and MS Office Suite
  • Substantial technical and practical experience in electrical, instrument, and controls engineering in the same or similar industry, including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects
  • A relevant engineering degree and 10+ years of Electrical Engineering experience
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering, management, project management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent
  • Registered professional engineering credentials
  • Engineer in Training credentials
