Software Engineer (Backend)

Our company has partnered with a Singapore based Fintech Start-up to source for their Technology Team. This role will be based in Singapore with a hybrid work environment in place.

Job Responsibilities
 

• Maintaining and writing new backend services
• Integrating the frontend elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of frontend technologies is necessary as well
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications

 
Job Requirements
 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related degree
• 5 years of work experience in a similar capacity
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• Understanding of SQL and databases
• Some understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3. Understanding of React is a strong plus
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
