Senior Fire Alarm Designer
About the Position: If you're a seasoned expert in fire alarm design and installation, we're looking for someone just like you to join our team as a Senior Fire Alarm Systems Designer! In this role, you'll be the go-to person for reviewing original layouts and drawings, interpreting them to meet project requirements and code compliance.

As the Senior Fire Alarm Designer, you'll lead the team to success by applying industry knowledge and quality standards, while also managing customer relations and budgeting needs.

 
Position Details/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate design solutions using industry knowledge and quality standards, considering customer needs and budget requirements.
- Lead technical assistance for multiple projects during bidding, design, permitting, and construction phases.
- Provide design guidance and support to team members.
- Effectively communicate with customers, project team members, and inspecting authorities.

What We're Looking For:
- 8+ years of experience designing design-build fire alarm systems, including high-density, high-rise, and smoke control applications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required; experience with Revit is a plus.
- NICET Level II and/or Level III certifications highly preferred.
- Experience with electrical equipment and installation, as well as strong electrical design fundamentals.
- Proficient knowledge of local codes and construction safety requirements (including IBC and IECC).
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a construction-related field preferred.
