Structural Piping Supervisor - Uganda

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator, WRS are looking for a Structural Piping Supervisor to work in Uganda on a contract, rotational basis. This will be an 18 months contract, rotating 28/28 into country, paying a day rate in USD.

The role will be supporting a greenfield onshore field development project

Job Requirements:

• Support the Offsite Superintendent on site ensuring that the Contractor is fully conversant with all Company project related standards and procedures.
• Act as primary Supervisor for all activities related to discipline: follow-up the sequence of work-fronts and liaise with the construction contractor area managers and superintendents to make sure the sequence is as per the Construction Schedule
• Undertake regular site visits to assess the work quality and delivery of the Contractor and intervene as appropriate to ensure that activities progress in line with the project schedule.
• Monitor progress and prepare performance reports
• Liaise with all the Superintendents and Supervisors to make sure that the construction complies with all Project Design Documentation, with Company Standards and Procedures, and with applicable international Codes, Standards and Practices

Candidate Requirements:

• HND or equivalent mechanical or related discipline
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Oil and Gas and Petrochemical industry specifically large construction projects, with thorough knowledge on various safety regulations, standards, procedures etc.
• Recognized level of expertise in construction discipline
• Previous experience working for an Oil & Gas operator
• Previous experience in similar projects
