Subsea Engineer - Malaysia

Job description

Role: Subsea Engineer
Location: Kuala Lumpur  
Contract: 1-2 Years (Renewable)
 
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with company and industry HSE standards throughout subsea operations.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities for subsea production systems, including troubleshooting and ROV operations.
  • Support subsea project interfaces for brownfield development.
  • Provide engineering support for well intervention and future expansions.
  • Develop troubleshooting procedures and maintenance strategies.
  • Oversee engineering work by contractors and participate in risk assessments.
  • Assist in managing subsea operations contracts, finances, and budgets.
  • Act as liaison between technical and commercial teams.
  • Aid in developing contract plans and monitoring costs.
  • Maintain contracts database and purchase order system.
  • Coordinate final work acceptance and associated payments.
  • Assist in preparing contract bid packages.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years focused on subsea hardware/structure.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • This role requires supporting offshore development and operations as necessary.
