On behalf of a major client in East Africa, I am searching for a Civil / Structural Steel Specialist to be based on site in Tanzania a 12 year renewable contract.
This will be working on a rotation on a major across country onshore pipeline construction with a long term scope of work 

Role:
To manage and deliver the AGI ECW and Civil activities to a “Ready For Commissioning” status in conformance with construction dossier within budget, project schedule and with utmost respect for the environmental and societal aspects ensuring construction operations are planned and conducted safely. Organize and control the performance of the AGI construction contractor.

• Directly supporting the Construction Site lead ensuring delivery of AGI facilities infrastructure on-time and to budget.
• Work as directed by the Construction Site Lead within the allocated construction work packages issued.
• Implement, use, and communicate safe work practices on and off the project sites.
• Supervision and Inspection of Civil works regularly, identifying and eliminating potential safety hazards

Requirements:

• Degree: BSc (or equivalent formal qualification) in a recognized Engineering discipline in Civil engineering
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience with at least 5 years in Oil &Gas Industry with similar large-scale projects with extensive field experience.
• Ability to adapt and to represent the company in discussions, negotiations and meetings with contractors, partners, and regulatory authorities
