Contracts Engineer - Paris

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator, WRS are looking for a Contracts Engineer to work in Paris. The role will be offered on a 12 month renewable contract, based residentially in Paris, paying a day rate in Euro.

The position will be supporting the development of a large onshore LNG field development.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects relevant to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award of contracts.
• Represent project team on Contract issues at both internal and external meetings.
• Provide Contracts and Procurement advice to project team.
• Ensure Contract Variations are identified early and advised to Package Contract Representative.
• Participate in Contract audits, reviewing records for accuracy and conformance to standards.
• Ensure commercial and contractual correspondence with contractors is efficiently handled.
• Liaise with project team members to ensure commitments and milestones are achieved and liaise with Contractor to expedite progress mindful of foreseen liquidated damages.
• Maintain time and payment schedules and milestones as per pricing mechanism and advise payment terms accordingly

Candidate Requirements:

• 10 years' experience in a similar role
• Experience on large EPC projects desireable
• LNG project experience essential
• Right to work in the EU
