Overview:

As the Deputy Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the organization's programs and initiatives aimed at empowering and supporting youth volunteers.
Working closely with the Program Manager, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs, ensuring their alignment with the NGO's mission and objectives. This position requires a passion for youth development, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

1-Assist the Program Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing youth-focused programs and projects, including volunteer recruitment, training, and engagement initiatives.
2-Contribute to the development of strategic plans and objectives for the organization's youth programs, aligning them with the NGO’s mission and goals. Identify opportunities for program expansion and improvement.
3- Provide leadership and guidance to program staff and volunteers, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment. Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring team members are motivated and equipped to achieve program objectives.
4- Cultivate and maintain partnerships with community organizations, schools, businesses, and other stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and reach. Collaborate on joint initiatives and leverage resources to maximize impact.
5- Oversee the recruitment, training, and retention of youth volunteers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to contribute effectively to program activities. Provide mentorship and support to volunteers as needed.
6- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the effectiveness and impact of youth programs. Collect and analyse data to measure outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and make informed programmatic decisions.
7-Assist in budget planning and management for youth programs, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and in accordance with programmatic priorities. Monitor expenditures and financial performance, making adjustments as necessary to stay within budgetary constraints.
8-Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and forums related to youth development and volunteering. Serve as an advocate for youth issues and promote the NGO’s mission and programs to diverse audiences.
9-Prepare regular reports, presentations, and updates on program activities, achievements, and challenges for internal stakeholders, board members, and funders. Communicate program impact effectively through various channels, including social media, newsletters, and press releases.



Requirements:

-
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social work, youth development, nonprofit management, or related area. Master's degree preferred.
-Proven experience in program management, preferably in a nonprofit or community-based organization, with a focus on youth development and volunteer engagement.
-Native Kurdish & Fluency in written and spoken English.
-Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and volunteers toward common goals.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
-Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity for innovation and creativity in program design and implementation.
-Budget planning and management experience, including the ability to develop and monitor program budgets effectively.
-Passion for youth empowerment and social change, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
