Key Responsibilities:
As a Renewable Energy Development Manager you will be a crucial part of our multi-disciplinary team, focusing on identifying and cultivating a robust pipeline of renewable energy projects.
Your role will encompass the following key responsibilities:
- Pipeline Growth: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and expand opportunities for renewable energy projects. This includes exploring acquisitions, forging partnerships, and nurturing organic greenfield development.
- Site Assessment: Conduct in-depth assessments of potential project sites, meticulously evaluating their development feasibility. This will involve a thorough examination of environmental and policy risks.
- Full Development Lifecycle: Take charge of the complete project development process, from inception and design to permitting and pre-construction phases. Your expertise will be pivotal in managing large-scale PV and onshore wind projects.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate seamless communication and coordination among external project participants. This includes building strong relationships with landowners, communities, public institutions, consultants, and other experts integral to the development process.
- Progress Reporting: Keep senior management informed of project progress through regular and insightful reporting mechanisms.
- Project Management: Oversee project development to ensure strict adherence to project objectives, including managing project costs and budgets.
- Degree (BSc and preferably Masters) qualified in a relevant environmental, renewable energy, business, engineering, estate management or planning discipline
- 1 to 4 years of relevant professional experience in renewable energy project development in UK or Ireland
- To include a minimum of 1 year working on the development of utility scale solar energy, onshore wind or BESS projects
- Experience of identifying and delivering new renewable energy development projects in the UK or Ireland
- Proficient and confident with Office application (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Outlook
- Fluent spoken and written communication in English
- A sense of responsibility, resilience, flexibility, and willingness to travel nationally
- Strong, confident communication and negotiation skills
- Highly organized and proactive with a strong attention to detail
