Your Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Technical Specifications: Spearhead the development of technical specifications in collaboration with the PMC Contractor, ensuring they align seamlessly with project objectives and industry standards.
  • Insightful Technical Review: Dive deep into technical documentation, offering critical analysis and actionable feedback to optimise engineering solutions and drive project efficiency.
  • Strategic Project Support: Provide invaluable technical support to the project management team, leveraging your expertise to overcome challenges and maintain project momentum.
  • Rapid Engineering Solutions: Act decisively to resolve complex engineering issues, applying a combination of practical knowledge and industry best practices to keep the project on course.
  • Timely Progress Management: Take charge of project timelines, ensuring adherence to schedules and milestones, and proactively addressing any deviations to keep the project on track.
What we are looking for:
  • Expert Qualifications: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Naval Architecture, complemented by 10-15 years of hands-on experience in Marine Systems Engineering and Design.
  • Global Standards Proficiency: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of international engineering practices, codes, and standards, with a proven track record of applying this knowledge effectively in project environments.
  • Interdisciplinary Acumen: Possess strong interface knowledge across related disciplines, including E&I, Piping, HVAC, Process, and Technical Safety, facilitating seamless collaboration and integration across project teams.
  • Industry Insight: Bring valuable experience from previous engagements with shipyards, shipboard operations, marine equipment vendors, or manufacturers, enhancing your ability to navigate project complexities and deliver optimal solutions.
  • Review Method Mastery: Showcase proficiency in review methodologies such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and LOPA, demonstrating your ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively throughout the project life cycle.
  • Language Fluency: Exhibit excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, ensuring clear and concise interactions with project stakeholders at all levels.
  • Right to work: Must have the right to work in the UK
