Planning Engineer
WRS - Worldwide Recruitment Solutions are delighted to be representing a major Operator in their search for a Planning engineer to work residential (8/2 rotation) in Uganda on a two year renewable contract.
Scope of Work:
• To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSE and to implement and control HSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility.
• To develop, implement and maintain procedures, means and tools in order to ensure the efficient organization and operation of the scheduling, progress control and reporting activities.
• To define (and update as necessary) a suitable Work Breakdown Structure complying with Project needs in terms of progress control, cost control and reporting, for all phases of the Project.
• Liaise with Cost Controllers to ensure consistency of information.
• To develop, update and revise the overall Package schedules as required by Package Management, and to provide analyses and simulations of new schedules also as required.
The Ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor of Science or equivalent in an Engineering discipline or Construction Technology area
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in projects, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in planning of projects in Oil & Gas and/or Infrastructure related industries.
• Extensive knowledge of MS Excel, MS Project and Primavera. Well developed analytical and reporting skills.
• Able to coordinate and work with other teams and have basic multi-disciplinary knowledge.
• English mandatory
