PPA Sales Manager

Are you looking to work with a leading developer within the renewable industry?

At WRS we are working on behalf of our client to find an experienced PPA Sales Manager in South Africa. Our client is based in 20 countries across 4 continents and are a leader in developing wind, solar, hydro, biomass and storage projects across the world.

You will be;
  • Establish the strategy and set up an action plan to generate new contacts and incoming requests: communication, participation and potentially organization of internal and external events such as conferences, exhibitions, round tables, third -parties partnerships
  • Lead the origination of long-term new-build-asset-backed PPAs (both offsite and onsite), prepare commercial offers; lead the commercial negotiations and securing PPAs for each new-build renewable projects
  • Manage contract negotiation with Corporate 
  • Manage contract closing and validation through Contract Committee and Investment Committee 
  • Manage customer and third-party quality verification (KYC – Risk Credit) 
  • Implement sales reporting with KPI on the realized actions ;
  • Update the reports on offers being processed and potential offers;


You will have;

  • Graduate School of Engineering or Business School
  • At least 3 years of experience in the South African power market or renewable sector
  • Good commercial skills and connection among corporate offtakers in the South African market
  • Ideally first corporate PPA experience (structuring, tendering, contracting, and management)
  • Good knowledge of the economic and regulatory conditions of energy purchases and/or electricity wheeling scheme in South Africa
