Position: Roofing Superintendent

Location: Southern California

Job Summary: We are searching for an experienced and organized professional to lead daily operations, manage project timelines, and oversee teams in Southern California. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of both office and field operations, logistics management, and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership and maintain a positive project morale.
  • Ensure thorough comprehension and adherence to project contracts, drawings, and specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to create and update project schedules.
  • Plan and meticulously review construction programs, incorporating rigorous quality control and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and labor activities in Southern California.
  • Verify the subcontractors' compliance with contractual obligations and regional regulations.
  • Obtain required permits and licenses, and ensure strict compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with inspection agencies and promptly address any necessary actions.
  • Chair coordination and safety meetings, capturing comprehensive minutes for review.
  • Carefully review subcontractors' reports and endorse as-built prints.
  • Approve time and material work vouchers and invoices while maintaining accurate records.
  • Foster strong relationships and effective communication with project stakeholders in Southern California.
  • Execute meticulous quality control measures and ensure precise time entries.
  • Manage material orders as necessary to support Southern California projects.
Qualifications:

  • Proficient in computer skills and adept at leveraging technology.
  • Exceptional communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) advantageous for diverse interactions.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Southern California (60 to 80%).
  • Demonstrated leadership acumen and the ability to delegate effectively.
  • Minimum of 10 years of supervisory experience in industrial or commercial construction.
  • OSHA 30 certification is required for adherence to safety standards.
Work Environment: This role involves operating in a business casual office environment as well as conducting occasional job site visits within Southern  California. The site visits may entail exposure to outdoor conditions, heights, and varying temperatures.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, salaried exempt position. Standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with full company benefits provided
