Here at WRS we are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of one of the worlds largest engineering firms, looking for 2 Geo-Environmental Consultants to join their team. The offices are based in London and Glasgow with the occasional time away on field-based projects.
 
We are looking for someone with 2 to 5 years’ experience of undertaking environmental site assessments, ideally with a mixed geotech and environmental background.
 
For this role the main responsibilities include:
 
  • Field work of Geo-environmental ground investigations and sub-contractor management.
  • Environment sampling and monitoring.
  • Preparation of high-quality technical reports, site investigation reports and verification reports.
  • Land remediation supervision.
  • Preparation of project HSSE plans.
 
A successful candidate will possess the following:
 
  • Educated to a Master’s Degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of contaminated land assessment process, environmental risk assessments, development of site conceptual models, analytical methodologies and sampling procedures.
  • Data analysis, presentation and interpretation to a high level.
  • Be willing to travel away on field-based projects.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK and hold a valid driving licence.
 
Location: Glasgow and London
 
Education Required: Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline (Geology, Applied Environmental Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Environmental Consultancy, Geochemistry)
