WRS are recruiting for a Grid and Regulation Manager to join a developer, owner and operator in renewable energy in Stirling, Aberdeenshire, UK.

This position will be responsible for ensuring that the energy generated from our offshore wind farms reach energy consumers – primarily via an electrical network. Working closely with engineering, planning, policy and commercial work packages, this involves making sure that the grid infrastructure is contractually secure, consentable, buildable and economically viable.

Main tasks and activities:

• Policy monitoring, policy positions & drafting consultation responses
• Grid routing constraints analysis & working with EIA team
• Managing grid agreements
• Procurement & running tendering exercises
• Budgeding & scheduling
• Stakeholder liaison 
• Internal communications & reporting

The successful applicant will:

• Have a relevant degree-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or Economics
• Have knowledge of the electricity sector 
• Be comfortable working in a technical engineering environment
• Have previous experience of grid connection in the renewable energy space
• Have an understanding of GB electricity codes
