Job description

Role: Instrumentation Engineer
Location: Kuala Lumpur
Contract: 24 Months
 
Competencies:
  • Comprehensive understanding of instrumentation & control design and production operations for both Offshore and Onshore oil and gas projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of Instrument & Control equipment for Onshore facilities.
  • Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME/ANSI, API, ATEX, ISO, IEC, AGA, GPA, NEC, NFPA, ITU, and others relevant to Instrumentation Control System design.
  • Proficient in the design and selection of various equipment including Field Instrument, Control Valve, Safety Valve, Wellhead Control Panel, Metering System, Online Analysers, Fire and Gas Detectors, ICSS, PLC, SCADA system, Microwave/Radio System, Satellite System, Fiber optic communication, and Wire & Wireless communication.
  • Competence in Intools (Smart Plant Instrument) / AVEVA Software and exSILentia Software.
  • Extensive experience in SIL classification, SIL verification, and SIF design.
  • Proficiency in instrumentation and control equipment fabrication, commissioning, and start-up of offshore processing platforms.
  • Knowledge of Digital Oil & Gas field operation features and applications is advantageous.
 
Work Experience:
 
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience as a discipline engineer in Onshore facilities, demonstrating a successful track record in FEED, Detailed Engineering, Site construction, and Projects management & execution.
  • Experience in FEED and/or EPCC of Onshore facilities as a lead, preferably in projects similar in scale to the Lang Lebah field, is advantageous.
  • Experience in projects dealing with high H2S and high CO2 levels is beneficial.
