Plant Superintendent

On behalf of an independent operator, WRS are looking for a Plant Superintendent to work in Kurdistan on a contract, rotational basis. This will be a 6 month renewable contract, working on a 35/35 rotation, paying a day rate in USD.

The Plant Superintendent will exhibit exemplary leadership, managerial and safety behaviours and will specifically ensure that all aspects of production activity are carried out effectively and efficiently. The role assumes responsibility for safety, financial, logistical and operational aspects of production activities and is responsible for the competence of those under their immediate supervision.

Job Duties include:
  • Promote safety awareness and application of company Management System.
  • Report concisely in accordance with Management System requirements with due regard for document control.
  • Ensure timely and effective closeout of survey and relevant audit actions.
  • Ensure ‘Management of Change’ procedures are applied appropriately.
  • Contribute effectively to accident and incident investigation, review, and reporting.
  • Manage the operation of the Facilities systems at department level through supervisors and subordinate staff.
Ideal candidate will have:
  • Proven experience and results-oriented career and/or Degree equivalents in appropriate engineering Subject.
  • 10 years minimum as Production Superintendent plus appropriate period as acting / deputy production / facilities manager. Experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing systems and utility systems.
  • Previous experience working for an operator
  • Previous experience in remote, desert environments (Kurdistan experience would be a plus)
  • Supervisory experience of Permit to Work, Mechanical/Electrical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment.
