Environmental Engineer

On behalf of an independent Oil & Gas operator, WRS are looking for an Environmental Engineer to work in Kurdistan on a contract, rotational basis. This will be a 6 month renewable contract on a 5/2 rotation paying a day rate in USD

Job Duties include:

• Responsible for Implementation and audit process of Environmental Management Systems and procedures at client facilities.
• The Environmental Engineer advises and support the client Environmental Manager at all environmental matters.
• Provide technical and administrative support for environmental remediation and litigation, including remediation system design and determination of regulatory applicability.
• Develop and maintain overall environmental management by supporting and assessing technical teams, engineering project design and operations.

Ideal candidate will have

• E. / B.TECH. / B.S. / Master / Dipl.-Ing. or similar in an engineering subject preferably in environment specialized in the field of oil and gas.
• Formal environmental training
• Previous experience working for an operator
• Experience working in remote, deser environments (Kurdistan experience would be a plus)
• Minimum 10 years in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry with HSE capability in operational and technical aspects
• Conversant with international environmental standards such as IOGP, IPECA, WB and HSE UK
