HSE Team Development Lead

Job description

WRS are looking for a HSE Team Development Lead for a project based in Erbil. This is a 12M+ renewable contract on a rotational basis to be confirmed.  

The post holder will be responsible for the implementation of the development program of the field-based national HSE Team to enable them to complete the relevant succession plans. He/She will act as the focal point of the development program and further develop and implement the client Competency requirements that will enable HSE Nationals to achieve their full potential as HSE Professionals as set up in the succession plans. Additional focus for the role will be as Control of Work Champion helping providing mentoring to the line to help instil operating discipline and technical support for risk assessments required as part of the Permit to Work system. It is anticipated that the role will spend approximately 20% of their time supporting Control of Work.

Experience Required 
  • 15 years HSE experience with at least 5 years spent in a HSE Managerial/Senior Supervisor role preferred.
  • Relevant engineering/science degree and/or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
  • Experience working in the Middle East in similar oil & gas operations.
